IT’S A DATE BREAD PUDDING

Ingredients
  • 10 cups Day old baguette bread, cubed
  • 10 Eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups Whole milk
  • 2 cups Heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 3/4 cup Salted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Ground nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp Grated orange zest
  • 1 cup California Dates, rough chopped
Instructions
  1. Preheat Oven to 350 degrees

  2. In a large bowl whisk eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, orange zest, honey and vanilla. Stir in chopped dates.

  3. Spray a 13 X 9 inch oval or rectangle pan with non stick cooking spray.

  4. Layer the cubed baguette bread in pan then pour wet mixture over bread evenly.

  5. Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes.

    Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
